Sharon Hunt is one of a small number of professional eventers to receive National Lottery funding.
First established in 2002, the aim of the National Lottery funding programme, namely ‘World Class Start and Potential’, was to help identify, select and train the medallists of the future.
In the case of Sharon, who was selected to be part of the programme in 2005, it certainly paid off as she brought home a bronze from the 2008 Olympics.
