Sharon Hunt is extremely proud to have been selected to represent Queen, country and the British Equestrian Federation as a member of Team GBR. It is the highest accolade for any sporting professional.
Team GBR is made up of the Britain’s very best riders across a number of equestrian disciplines including eventing, dressage and show jumping. (Sharon represents the eventing team.) The aim of Team GBR is to win more medals at the world’s foremost competitions – like the World Equestrian Games and the Olympics. Sharon Hunt has helped deliver that success by bringing back a bronze from the 2008 Olympics.
At the heart of Team GBR is ‘The World Class Performance Plan’, which aims to identify talent, maximise potential and deliver success. The programme is funded by UK Sport, which is supported by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport.
